Missouri License Suspension for Tickets, Court Holds, or Fines
Missouri may receive a hold from a court or another issuing authority after an unresolved ticket, missed court date, or unpaid obligation. The issuing authority and the licensing agency can have separate steps, so the exact notice and current official record control.

What are the published Missouri requirements for tickets, court dates, and fines?
In Missouri, a failure to appear (FTA) puts a hold on your license that stays in place until you resolve it. To reinstate: resolve the citation with each court that issued it. The court will then issue a Compliance Letter (also called a Release), either to you or transmitted electronically to the Department of Revenue (DOR). Once DOR clears the hold, pay the $20 reinstatement fee online at mydmv.mo.gov, by mail, or in person. You do not need an SR-22 for this. Note that a Limited Driving Privilege (LDP, Form 4595) is not available while any ticket remains unpaid; your entire Missouri ticket history must be clean to qualify for an LDP, even if the unpaid ticket is unrelated to the suspension you're trying to clear. If you hold onto your license past the start of the suspension without surrendering it, a late surrender penalty applies: $25 for every 30 days, capped at $300 total.
