What are the published Georgia requirements for points and repeat violations?

GA points suspension threshold (O.C.G.A. §40-5-57): adults 21+ = 15 points in 24 months; under 21 = any single 4-point offense; under 18 = 4 points in 12 months. Window measured by violation date. Points reset to zero after a points suspension. Escalating periods by prior points-susp in 5 yrs: 1st = 1 yr (with immediate/early reinstatement on course + fee; limited permit available); 2nd = 3 yr (early reinstatement on course + fee; limited permit); 3rd-in-5-yr = 2 yr HARD - no early reinstatement, no limited permit, serve the full 2 yr then course + fee. Still (fixed-period suspension, just longer - not a revocation). Reinstatement: complete a certified Driver Improvement (defensive driving) course - 6-hr, DDS-certified clinic, fee capped at $95, in-person only (DDS does NOT accept online courses for license purposes) → take Certificate of Completion to DDS + pay reinstatement fee → reinstate via DDS Online Services / DDS 2 GO / mail / in-person. Points reduction (pre-suspension only): up to 7 points reduced once per 5 yr via the same course - once the 15-pt threshold is hit, a reduction won't lift the suspension. No SR-22 for a points suspension. GA points do NOT roll into Habitual Violator - HV in GA = 3 *major* offenses (e.g. DUI) in 5 yr, a separate Track-B matter, NOT a points outcome. So GA points-related category is at every tier; no points-driven OUT.
